The Caney Valley Trojans Academic Team won at Regional's
The Caney Valley Trojans won Regionals Saturday at Porter by beating Pawhuska 270-60, Oklahoma Union 240-110, and Preston 140-90. Leading the balanced attack was Dakota J. with 120 followed closely by Brayden P. with 110, Alex T. with 90, and Hunter B. with 30 points. The win qualifies the team for the area tournament which will be held at Preston on January 18.
On Thursday night the Trojans finished in 2nd place behind Cascia Hall in the New Frontier Conference Tournament. The team beat Wagoner 180-110 and Preston 250-200 before falling to Cascia Hall 170-290 in the finals. Leading the scoring for the Trojans was Dakota J. with 150 points followed by Alex T. with 100 points, Brayden P. with 60 points, and Hunter B. with 30. The Trojans will appear in Round 1 of "I Want Answers" on RSU Television channel 35 Monday night, November 18, at 7:30. It can also be seen online after the 18th.
