I graduated from OSU with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics and began my masters in Applied Mathematics.  While working as a teaching assistant in Calculus, I discovered my love of teaching and my love of math!  

After waiting several years for a math position to open at Caney Valley, I was finally in luck. I have been employed as a high school teacher here since August 2005, and I currently teach Geometry and Trigonometry.

This is my 4th year to coach competitive academics. So far in 2010/2011 we've won regionals and area and are seeded #2 in the state.  We will compete in the state tournament Saturday, February 5th, weather permitting.

In 2010 we placed 4th in 3A at state for high school academics, and 3rd place at state for 8th/9th OJABA!  In 2009 we finished 3rd in the state for high school.

I've been married to my wonderful husband, a Caney Valley graduate, for 27 years.  My two daughters were valedictorians from CVHS, and my son currently attends Caney Valley.

I am extremely proud of our  academic tradition and of the 4 generations of Ward, Topping, Tucker, and Taylor relatives that have graduated from CVHS.   I love my job and cannot imagine teaching anywhere else. I am so proud to be a part of Caney Valley High School!
