Olive Girls Tournament -
The girls played in their first tournament on March 1. Out of 72 players Amber F had a score of 121 and placed 50th and Emma G scored 123 and placed 60th.
This was the first tournament for both girls and they played really well and almost made pars. They went from asking a lot of questions on the first 9 to knowing what to hit on the second 9, and we had a fun time and a lot of laughs. I am very proud of them for their first tournament!
The boys played in their first tournament on March 4 Here are the scores - Out of 103 players
Team Score - 466 - 18th out of 18, Hayden M 106 - 64th, Kohl S 117 - 86th, Hayden W 121 - 98th, Jeff C 122 - 100th
Again the first tournament for the boys and they played really well and we had a par from Hayden M and several par attempts for Kohl, Hayden and Jeff. Hayden had the shot of the tournament for us by hitting a tree 15 yards behind the green and it rolled back within 10 feet of the pin! Very proud of these guys, again they went from a lot of questions on the first 9 to knowing what to hit on the second 9.
Skiatook Tournament at Pecan Valley (Mohawk GC) - Out of 66 players March 9
Team Score - 429 - 11th out of 13
Hayden M 96 - 35th
Kohl S 106 - 45th
Hayden W 112 - 52th
Jeff C 115 - 55th
We improved by 37 shots from the first to second tournament and the guys really impressed me how they played for their second tournament. Hayden M and Kohl S got the first birdies of the season on par 3s and again Hayden W and Jeff C were putting for pars just missing them. Each player improved their scores by an average of 8 shots from the previous week.
