This summer the weight room will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the month of June.  Monday we will leave for the passing league in Dewey at 10a.m.  I believe it is important for students to enjoy their Summer, and enjoy spending time with their families and maybe other sports.  The dates listed below will be the days that athletes will be able to come in and lift.   Each session will consist of 1 hour of lifting, and 30 minutes of conditioning and 30 minutes of a team activity.  There are 21 days between June 6th  and August 1st that the weight room will be open.  We as a staff expect you to make at least 16 days, if you do not make 16 then there will be make-up conditioning done at the beginning of the season to make up for what you missed this summer.  If you make 19 out of the 21 days which is 90% of the lifting sessions you will receive a Trojan Iron t-shirt.  You are allowed to miss 1 week, for various reasons such as (church camp, vacation, mission trips.)  There is a dead week period this year that will not count against anyone, so please take your vacations and other activities around this time.   If you attend a football camp that counts as if you were at the weight room working out, so you will receive credit for being at the weight room.  When it comes to camps just make sure you let me or other coaches know where you are going so that way we can get you down as being here.  Last year’s attendance was pretty poor, so let us strive to do better this year, so we can do better when the season comes.

The Days available for lifting are the following

Passing League-June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and July 12th 6:00 p.m. @Pawhuska leave at 4:30p.m.

June-6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29-Lifting Days Weight Room will be open.  (Mondays in June we will only lift until 10:30, lifting will then be dismissed for guys who go to the passing league.  Skill players only and centers.)

July 2nd -July 10th -Dead Period (No lifting will take place, School Weight-room and Facilities will be closed.)

July-1, 11, 13,15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29Lifting Days weight Room will be open

August-1st, 3rd, and 5th-  will be used as Make-up days must contact a coach though to receive approval on this.

There will be other make-up days scattered in through-out the summer that will make up for days missed throughout.

May 16th - Coach/Player meeting at school 11:15a.m. at the school.

May 31st   - Parent Player Meeting @ the High School Gym @6p.m.  For all players who are going to be part of the Caney Valley Football Program this year.

May 18th-Spring Football Begins if you are a Varsity Player you need to be at these practices we will practice @2p.m. and we will go to 4:00p.m. every day.  The dates we will practice are: May 18,19,20, 23, 24,25, 26, 27,31.

June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd- Liberty Team Camp we will leave at 7:30a.m. each of those days, these team camp days will count towards your overall goal of 17 days as well as go a long way in determining starting roles and positions next year.  Each day we will end around noon, so we will be back to school around 1:30p.m.  Cost is $10 and money needs to be given to me by May 31st.

June 23rd- Haskell 7 on 7 Tournament leaves at 7:00a.m.  Be back later that day 

August 8th-First Practice (Helmets only)

August 12th-First Padded Practice
