OJABA Regionals Results
The Caney Valley 8/9th grade academic team qualified for the OJABA state tournament at the University of Oklahoma by finishing 3rd place at Regionals Saturday. They finished the day with 4 wins and 2 losses. Their only losses were to number 1 seed Wyandotte. Victories included 180 to 70 over Colcord B, 170 to 160 over Foyil, 240 to 190 over Colcord A, and 280 to 130 over host Chelsea. Losses to Wyandotte were 110-180 and 130-140.
Freshman Brayden P. led the scoring with 330 points while 8th grader Carter B. was close behind with 290 points. 8th graders Devin D. and Logan A. both added 20 points apiece. 8th graders Avery T. and Jaydin A. were also instrumental in the victories. The team is coached by Martha Ward.
