As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Caney Valley Public School Board of Education of Independent School District No. 18, Washington County, Oklahoma, will hold a REGULAR meeting on January 9, 2023, at 6:30 o’clock p.m., at the Caney Valley Board Room, Ramona Campus, 620 Wyandotte Avenue, Ramona Oklahoma.

  1. Jennifer Stringlow as a non certified PreK Assistant effective January 4, 2023

  2. Sydney Deel as a non certified Paraprofessional effective January 4, 2023

  3. Gracie Johnson as a certified PreK Teacher effective January 3, 2023

 

10.B Consideration of and vote to go convene in executive

session. 

 

10.C Vote to acknowledge Board’s return to open session.

 

10.D Executive session minutes compliance announcement.

 

10.E Board to consider and take possible action to employ the following;  

 

  1.  Jennifer Stringlow as a non certified PreK Assistant effective January 4, 2023

  2. Sydney Deel as a non certified Paraprofessional effective January 4, 2023

  3. Gracie Johnson as a certified PreK Teacher effective January 3, 2023

 

11. 2022-2023 Personnel Contracts

 

11.A As provided in Title 25 Section 307 (B)(109) an

executive session is proposed to discuss personnel contract

regarding the following;

 

  1. Jennifer Stringlow as a non certified PreK Assistant effective January 4, 2023

  2. Sydney Deel as a non certified Paraprofessional effective January 4, 2023

  3. Gracie Johnson as a certified PreK Teacher effective January 3, 2023

 

11.B Board to consider and take possible action to convene

in executive session.

12. Evaluation and Hiring of Superintendent

 

12.A As provided in Title 25 Section 307 (B)(109) an

executive session is proposed to discuss the evaluation,

employment and amend the contract of Steven Cantrell as

superintendent of Schools.

 

12.B Consideration of and vote to go into executive session

to discuss the evaluation, employment and amend the

contract of Steven Cantrell as superintendent of Schools.

 

12.C Consideration of and vote to acknowledge return to

open session.

 

       12.D Executive session minutes compliance announcement.

 

12.E Board to consider and take possible action to continue 

employment of Steven Cantrell as Superintendent of Caney

Valley School District and approve the contract addendum to

include fiscal years 2024, 2025 and 2026.

 

13. 2023-2024 Calendar Revision

 

13.A Board to consider and take possible action regarding

the revised calendar as presented.

 

14. New Business of the Board

 

Any item that could not have been foreseen or known about at the time the agenda was distributed. If such an item is a topic for an executive session, it is permitted, (A.G. Opin. No. 82-114).
